What Size Megaflo/What Size Unvented Cylinder Do I Need?

There are different views on sizing unvented hot water cylinders.

You can either select the size of your unvented hot water cylinder based on the number of people living in the property, or by the number of bedrooms your property has.

In more recent times, for new build properties, building control are even stricter and water useage is limited using flow limiters, low flow appliances and spray taps.

Below is a simple flow chart that uses the number of occupants as we find this more sensible, as some properties have spare bedrooms and the last thing you want to do is store and heat water unnecessarily that is not used on a daily basis.

In the example below, there are two columns, one for direct unvented hot water cylinders and one for indirect unvented hot water cylinders
